A man who killed two Valencia teens in a street racing traffic collision in February 2016 was denied parole this week by the California Board of Parole Hearings.

Dealio Lockhart – who was convicted and sentenced to state prison for more than two decades after pleading guilty to the crash that killed Valencia teenagers Brian Lewandowski, 18, and Michelle Littlefield, 19 – was up for possible parole to due a recent change in the law through Proposition 57 (The Public Safety and Rehabilitation Act of 2016).

Scott Treadway, 52, a UPS truck driver from Mira Loma, was also killed, after Lockhart’s car flew into the truck while racing another vehicle on Interstate 5 in Commerce, and another man in the crash remains in a coma still to this day, according to Willy Littlefield, father of Michelle Littlefield.

The deceased were students at College of the Canyons, and worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain. They were returning from a trip to Disneyland with two others.

In an email distributed Thursday with the subject line “Nonviolent Parole Review Decision,” the California Board of Parole Hearings informed the victims’ families that Lockhart’s parole had been denied.

“The Board of Parole Hearings has conducted its review and has denied the inmate for release,” the letter reads. “The inmate will likely be screened again for possible referral to the board in a year so long as the inmate remains eligible for the Nonviolent Offender Parole Review Process.”

Proposition 57 now requires the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to change how individuals convicted of a nonviolent felony are considered for early parole.

Littlefield told The Signal last month that the way he and his family members were first informed that Lockhart was set to be considered for parole as a result of Prop. 57 was through the family of the man in a coma being the only one to receive the first notice that Lockhart would be given an opportunity before the parole board.

Littlefield told the The Signal in a previous story that he did not “think it’s going to be fair, that (Lockhart), who got 22 years, is going to be out dancing on the street while (the other man) is still in a coma.”

The announcement of parole consideration in the case has been met with the ire of the family members of some of the victims, Littlefield and his niece, Candace Zipperer, said last month. Littlefield’s family was particularly upset at the classification of the crime being considered “non-violent” in the eyes of Prop. 57.

“Dealio Lockhart perhaps is sorry for his violent crime, (but) this does not negate the fact that on this Earth he must serve his justified prison sentence for the full duration of 22 years,” Zipperer said in a letter to L.A. County District Attorney Goerge Gascón, and the state’s Board of Parole Hearings. “He answers to us, the People, and God the Almighty.”

Dealio Lockhart – who was convicted and sentenced to state prison for more than two decades after pleading guilty to the crash that killed two Valencia teenagers in February 2016 – could be released on parole imminently.

His release is the outcome of recent changes in the law, through Proposition 57 (The Public Safety and Rehabilitation Act of 2016).

The law now requires the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to change how individuals convicted of a nonviolent felony are considered for early parole.

Lockhart was the cause of the February 2016 crash that killed Valencia teenagers Brian Lewandowski, 18, and Michelle Littlefield, 19. The deceased were students of College of the Canyons, and worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain. They were returning from a trip to Disneyland with two others.

A deputy commissioner, working for the Board of Parole Hearings, began the administrative review, looking at documents to determine if Lockhart is eligible for his release from the state prison, on Friday, only one day removed from the six-year anniversary of the crash.

“I can deal with my daughter’s death,” Littlefield told The Signal on Monday, “but I don’t think it’s going to be fair, that (Lockhart), who got 22 years, is going to be out dancing on the street while (the other man) is still in a coma.”

Littlefield said that the way he and his family members were first informed that Lockhart was set to be considered for parole as a result of Prop. 57 was through the family of the man in a coma being the only one to receive the first notice that he would be given an opportunity before the parole board.

The announcement has been met with the ire of the family members of some of the victims, Littlefield and his niece, Candace Zipperer, told The Signal on Monday. Littlefield’s family was particularly upset at the classification of the crime being considered “non-violent” in the eyes of Prop. 57.

“I would say it is as as violent as it could possibly get,” said Zipperer. “I think anybody going 127 mph, two and a half seconds before an accident, for 11 miles, is as reckless and violent as you can possibly get.”

“I hate to use the analogy of point a gun into a crowd and shooting, but it is the closest example that I could possibly give,” Zipperer added.

Zipperer said that while she does believe this to have been an instance of murder, she also expressed her belief in due process — a process that originally gave Lockhart 22 years in prison.

“He answers to us the, People and God the Almighty.”

“Do I believe he should be locked up for the rest of his life? No, because of the law and I take my feelings out of it,” said Zipperer. “But I believe that if investigators put in this amount of time into helping getting a conviction, and the entire judicial system does its job; then to have somebody come in and say, ‘Hey, we’re not going to we’re not going to uphold this,’ it sends the wrong message to the amount of street racers” that are in California.

Families of the victims affected by the crash, and by Lockhart’s release, have the right to provide information to the board to express their concerns – including personal and family safety, as well as public safety.

The decision to whether Lockhart will receive parole under the stipulations of Prop. 57 has not been decided as of Monday.  Link

Perfect definition when we have a child. That feeling that we are not alone is achieved in a similar way when we deeply understand the secret of our own individuality and develop that infinite purpose of being and shining without any attachment to the
Light of the eternal love of who created us. The abilities to share, love and give without restrictions never end with our own children because there is many people need love in the world and changes occurred all the time inside of us but do not end, do not have an expiration date even when we are not more here In a physical way, what we leave remains forever in the heart of each of those we touches and extends through time, a story, gestures, words, actions and thoughts. Do not be afraid to continue loving or show how vulnerable you are, because the truth is that while we are trying to understand the complexity of those feelings and emotions that are released every day inside and outside of us but that is the most beautiful and real in our lives, when we laugh, we cry, we imagine, ,we dream, we created , that is and will be the greatest gift we will have throughout our earthly existence and the only one that really belongs to us................

On a day like today I felt so happy , although being honest it was almost 20 years of joy that seemed endless and so when my path seemed safe and clear with so many projects and dreams a wonderful, healthy, beautiful daughter, full of light, with a heart of gold, a husband and father who filled us with care and love, nothing was missing, in my mind we were in the right direction towards that perfect joy that we believed would be eternal, however in the next
Two months ahead that road traveled and my faithful purpose to be happy would collapse in an instant. A tragic event would change the course and direction of our existence and would lead us to rethink everything and establish actions and decisions that would be part of our tomorrow, at that time that was definitely the most uncertain and unprecedented in our story of this earthly experience. Starting from scratch, entering in a twilight zone, feeling that we were living in parallel worlds, sometimes between a conscious reality or the paradigm of a dream. That thick cloud did not allow us to observe beyond the reflection of our shadow in the dark, that if, the deep roots of a faith that was proof of everything prevailed that made us resist the most powerful onslaught of this storm and if contradicting any forecast that they pointed out. So be it, with nothing more to pursue, or strong why that made sense to continue , without any motivations or expectations it was surprisingly and definitely a greater purpose than our unfathomable pain. Losing or thinking that everything was over led me personally to states of anguish, deep desolation and sadness, when my world of colors and great illusions, laughter that spread even in the midst of any setback was there in front of my eyes , full of vibrant melodies of inextinguible and unexplainable bliss , my maximum constant , my beautiful daughter Michelle Littlefield, my one and only, my heaven, my everything, my sweet angel without wings , the
Beginning and end of each action, my precious treasure , my dream
Come true with her 19 years we had shared so much and every connection abruptly was broken by this physical separation. It was too early for her to return home to our eternal home, but those were not God's plans, he wanted her back and even in the midst of my tears and this devastating reality of living without her I knew that I had to give him my heart in pieces, only he could restore it, I gave up and asked him to grant me the grace of having a new heart, so my Love grew to an extent that even if I wanted to, I would not find words to describe it and with this unimaginable strength , peace and serenity whatsoever it grew that I did not understand but that made me feel that I was not alone, that Michelle would continue by my side even if my senses did not recognize it, she was so deep inside me that it was impossible to feel her absence. When you love someone with all your heart even if they are not in that physical state to which we are accustomed, love does not vary, sometimes it even grows in proportions impossible to measure or register and that is how it happened. Love never dies, it just transcends, transforms evolve and gives us a second chance to start over with more energy and solidity. You become unbreakable, the cracks of the soul are covered with gold to make true unique masterpieces and on that journey you meet your essence and especially understand why, everything has a purpose greater than your needs because you realize that loving and spreading that light has nothing to do with your ego but with that indomitable and warrior spirit that will never give up. So when you think that everything is over, it will be because you are close to a new dawn where the sun's rays prevent you from seeing how far they can go, but you will feel that you are flowing and that there is nothing to stop you in that encounter with fullness and with who really you are God is with you in each of this infinite space and he accompanied every step towards the light, trust him, wait and stand tall with your gaze towards the sky, smile the best is yet to come . Gigi
Time is just a measurable concept based on the perception and observation of the movement of physical bodies. That is without the
Mind that gives us the ability to capture images, ideas or thoughts through the senses simply could not exist. What happens when there is a void, a disconnect between the
Mind and the soul or Spirit. The
Spirit knows no limits, transfers, sustains, extends infinite unlike the mind that is conditioned to external and internal elements. The pain of physical loss of beings we love in a way
confronts the inability to create new memories and experiences and only consciously recreate past memories. Human beings connect with the outside through perceptions So the only way to find that balance and become a whole is to develop the spirit with noble and enriching feelings, values that form solid roots and leave footprints that remain unchanged and unchanging They will motivate us to continue, overcoming any obstacles along the way. Love with passion, giving the best of ourselves without desire to possess, face the storms with the
Strength of the
Love and so we can conquer any space in infinite heaven. Gigi 💝🌻

It is easy to imagine happiness when everything is good around you . This post was shared from me four years ago before the most devastating event in my life occurred . My one and only daughter Michelle Littlefield in February 27 , 2016 passed away in a dramatic crash caused from street racers when she was coming from Disneyland with her three friends and colleagues from Six Flags Magic Mountain where she used to work . My world completely transformed , I was shattered in pieces , in a Twinkie of an eye , in seconds . I get through from a happy human that had a precious daughter that means everything to a unexplainable new human full of contradictory feelings, an unknown destiny. How I will deal with this unbearable pain , it was the first thing that coming to my mind . My daughter , my inspiration, the reason I smile every morning when I seen her beautiful face , my future grand children that we were talking so many times . She used to plan everything, and she had a conversation that I would need to wait until she will be 24 or 25 and with a career and financial stability to get married and start a family . Wow , almost four years later this is one of my dreams never will come true . God at this time of sorrow was by my side , he sustained me with his arms embraced me and my husband , family and friends because when someone that you loved more than anything is gone many people is affected. I am giving to all of you this testimony of faith and love . It is my commitment with God to do it . His love is infinite bigger than our human comprehension. We probably would never understand why we need to go through this times of sorrow . But despite all the pain that we will feel inevitably while we were trapped in our human body and with all the ups and downs that will be part of our journey and no matter how hard the circumstances are , you have the most amazing opportunity and gift for free , many blessings come along at the same time . It is a new me , my faith is unbreakable, solid like a rock . For sure as human as I am would be many more tears mix with laughs and expectations. Since Michelle is not here and on this 4 years I found that love is the only feeling that not recognized time or space . I entirely feel closer than ever with her . It is amazing that I can with totally honesty and humble heart I can say my heart is full of peace , love and true happiness. I enjoy every moment with intention and purpose . I am still learning but I am here ready to fight and for sure don’t give up because life is beautiful and so do you . Gigi
Change your life style to pure Happiness 🙏🏼
Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.
Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life, and that happiness, not pain or mindless self-indulgence, is the proof of your moral integrity, since it is the proof and the result of your loyalty to the achievement of your values.

MAIT -

Reflecting on the complexity of the case that stretched over three years, Blake said: “There was nothing easy about any of this, but the result was fair.“The CHP-MAIT Team and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department should be commended for their outstanding investigations in this case,” Blake said. The MAIT program was set up in 1978, when the severity and intricacy of traffic collisions dictated the need for more intensive investigations to determine subtle collision and injury causes. The objective of the MAIT program is to provide the CHP with the means to conduct in-depth investigations and analyses of major traffic collisions throughout the state. The team’s Investigations include the reconstruction of an incident and a study of the factors that may have contributed to the incident.  Lockhart raced his Dodge Challenger with another driver on Interstate 5 on Feb. 27, 2016, in Commerce, causing a chain-reaction collision that killed the two Valencia residents and Scott Treadway, 52, a UPS truck driver from Mira Loma. Littlefield and Lewandowski were passengers in a Nissan with two other young people who were critically injured. All four occupants of the Nissan were employees of Six Flags Magic Mountain returning from a trip to Disneyland  - jholt@signalscv.com 661-287-5527 On Twitter @jamesarthurholt

DEALIO LOCKHART SAYS SORRY ON 4 12 2019

MR. LOCKHART - THANK YOU, YOUR HONOR, FOR ALLOWING ME TO SPEAK TO THE VICTIMS AND THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS. WHAT I DID ON THAT NIGHT ON FEBRUARY 27TH, 2016 HAS PROFOUNDLY CHANGED ALL OF YOU GUYS LIVES. I FOUND OUT THAT THREE PEOPLE HAD LOST THEIR LIVES AND FOUR OTHERS WERE SEVERELY INJURED BY MY RECKLESS ACTIONS. MY HEART SANK AND DEVASTATED ME. AND EVERY SINCE THAT NIGHT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY SO I CAN TELL YOU WHAT'S REALLY BEEN ON MY HEART SINCE THAT DAY. TO THE FAMILY OF BRIAN LEWANDOWSKI, TO MICHELLE LITTLEFIELD AND TO THE FAMILY OF RICHARD TREADWAY IT REALLY PAINS ME TO KNOW THAT MY ACTIONS HAVE TAKEN AWAY SOMEONE'S SON, SOMEONE'S DAUGHTER, SOMEONE'S WIFE OR SOMEONE'S HUSBAND. I REALIZE THAT THESE PEOPLE HAD A LIFE FULL OF DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND GOALS AND BIG PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AND BY MY RECKLESS ACTIONS OF WHAT I DID THAT NIGHT I TOOK AWAY ALL OF THOSE DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND THOSE GOALS AND THEIR LIVES. AND FOR THAT IT'S UNIMAGINABLE JUST HOW MUCH -- HOW MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT I'VE CAUSED FOR THE FAMILIES, EVERYONE'S FAMILY. THE ONLY REASON THAT I CAN GIVE FOR MY ACTIONS THAT NIGHT IS A PURELY SELFISH ONE AND THAT'S BECAUSE I WANTED TO WIN, AND WITH THAT SELFISH MINDSET I HAVE CREATED A TRAGEDY THAT'S GOING TO FOREVER BE ON THE FOREFRONT OF MY MIND EVERY SINGLE NIGHT UNTIL THE DAY THAT I DIE. TO THE FAMILY OF BRIAN LEWANDOWSKI, I'M VERY SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY YOUR LOVED ONE. TO THE FAMILY OF MICHELLE LITTLEFIELD, I'M DEEPLY, DEEPLY SORRY FOR TAKING THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONE. AND TO THE FAMILY OF RICHARD TREADWAY, I'M SO SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONE. TO ALFONSO MURILLO, THE THIRD, THOMAS WON, TO MIGUEL RUIZ AND ANTHONY MIRAMONTES I FEEL DEEP REGRET FOR MY ACTIONS AND I'M DISGUSTED WITH MYSELF KNOWING THAT MY ACTIONS HAVE CREATED DEBILITATING AND LIFE ALTERING INJURIES TO YOU. I REALIZE THAT YOU ALL HAD DREAMS, ASPIRATIONS, GOALS AND CAREERS AND I ASK THAT YOU JUST PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR TAKING AWAY THOSE DREAMS AND THOSE ASPIRATION AND THOSE GOALS THAT YOU HAD FOR THE FUTURE. I AM VERY SORRY FOR THAT AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF MY RECKLESS ACTIONS ON THAT NIGHT. I FULLY ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY AND ALL THE CONSEQUENCES THAT COME FROM MY ACTIONS ON THAT NIGHT. WHAT I THINK ABOUT MOST ABOUT THIS EVENT IS THE EMOTIONAL LOSS -- THE EMOTIONAL LOSS THAT YOU ALL ARE FEELING AND I THINK ABOUT THE EMOTIONAL PAIN THAT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN FEELING FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS AND IT REALLY HURTS ME TO KNOW THAT I'VE CAUSED YOU THAT SUFFERING AND THAT PAIN. I THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE HOLIDAYS AND CHRISTMASES, THANKSGIVINGS AND ALL OF THE BIRTHDAYS AND YOUR LOVED ONE  ISN'T THERE. AND IT REALLY HURTS ME TO KNOW THAT YOU GUYS ARE GOING THROUGH THAT KNOWING THAT THEY'RE NOT THERE TO BE ABLE TO BE WITH YOU AND TO BE ABLE TO CELEBRATE. I JUST WANT TO THANK ALL OF THE VICTIMS THAT CAME AND SPOKE. IT WAS REALLY HARD LISTENING TO THAT, BUT I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY AND I THANK YOU FOR YOUR CANDOR TOO IN SAYING WHAT NEEDED TO BE SAID. ALL OF THESE THINGS THEY STAY WITH ME. I MEAN, I THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE HARDSHIPS THAT THE FAMILIES HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH WITH HOSPITAL COSTS, PHYSICAL TREATMENTS, PHYSICAL SESSION TREATMENTS AND ALL THOSE THINGS, AND I THINK ABOUT THOSE AND IT REALLY HURTS AND IT REALLY PAINS ME TO KNOW THAT THAT LEVEL OF -- JUST THAT LEVEL OF INTENSITY HAD TO HAPPEN TO YOU GUYS AND THAT I WAS THE REASON FOR YOU GUYS GOING THROUGH THAT. I'M VERY SORRY FOR THAT, I'M VERY, VERY SORRY THAT I PUT YOU THROUGH THAT, PUT YOU THROUGH THAT FOR THOSE THREE YEARS. I WOULD LIKE THE COURT TO KNOW THAT I HAD A LOT OF TIME TO THINK ABOUT MY ACTIONS THAT NIGHT AND WHAT I'VE DONE. I REALIZE THAT IN A BLINK OF AN EYE AND JUST THROUGH MY IRRESPONSIBLE ACTIONS I CHANGED LIVES. I HAVE CHANGED A WHOLE LOT OF LIVES AND I REALIZE THAT AND I REALLY NEEDED TO CHANGE MY BEHAVIOR. SO WHILE I WAS INCARCERATED I WAS ABLE TO BE ABLE TO BETTER MYSELF BY TAKING CLASSES THAT DEALS WITH -- WITH DEALING WITH TAKING RESPONSIBILITY AND TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR MY ACTIONS. AND WHILE I WAS THERE I WAS ABLE TO HELP OTHERS JUST NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES THAT I HAVE THAT HAVE THE SAME  RECKLESS MISTAKES THAT I'VE DONE TO PREVENT ANOTHER TRAGEDY LIKE THIS. 32 I KNOW THAT -- I KNOW THAT ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS AND APOLOGIES ESPECIALLY IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS OF THIS MAGNITUDE IS TOUCH AND GO. I UNDERSTAND TO THE FAMILIES IF YOU CANNOT FORGIVE ME OR YOU WILL NOT FORGIVE ME, BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR MY RECKLESS ACTIONS THAT NIGHT AND I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY YOUR LOVED ONE. I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR CAUSING PHYSICAL INJURIES TO PEOPLE -- TO THE MANY PEOPLE THAT I DON'T EVEN KNOW. AND THAT NIGHT REALLY PUT IN PERSPECTIVE THE MAGNITUDE OF MY ACTIONS AND JUST THE FOOLISHNESS OF STREET RACING AND THE CONSEQUENCES. I NEVER THOUGHT SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO ME, AND I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD BE THE SOURCE OF YOUR NIGHTMARE, OF YOUR NIGHTMARE, OR OF YOUR NIGHTMARE AND I'M SORRY FOR THAT. Trujillo is the founder of Street Racing Kills, an organization devoted to educating people about the dangers of street racing. Although she routinely gives the talk at high schools, Wednesday was the first time Trujillo presented it on a college campus, To make her point, COC actors recreated the night Trujillo was called to the hospital where her daughter, Valentina, had died from injuries suffered in a traffic collision linked to street racing. An actor ushered into the lecture hall at COC’s Boykin Hall in a wheelchair portrayed her daughter’s friend who survived the crash. Another actor played Lili Trujillo herself, collapsing to the floor at the news of her daughter’s death....    SCV SIGNAL JIM HOLT

Lili Trujillo, whose daughter was killed in a street-racing crash six years ago, speaks at high schools to warn about the dangers of racing. Now she wants to bring her “Street Racing Kills” talk to colleges. On Wednesday, she’s scheduled to speak about the dangers of street racing with students at College of the Canyons. Her talk begins at 11:30 a.m. and goes until 1:30 p.m. in Boykin Hall, room 105. “I don’t know how many people are going to be there,” Trujillo said Tuesday. “But, even if there is just five people there, it is important to save one life. I don’t want any parent to go through what I’m going through.” On Dec. 7, 2013, Trujillo’s daughter, Valentina, was the passenger in a car driven by a man challenged to a street race. The driver ran a red light and collided with an SUV............................ CREDIT - Jim Holt - SCV SIGNAL

Just before a Whittier man was sentenced to more than 22 years in prison for three counts of vehicular manslaughter, the father of one of those victims had a chance to describe the three years of pain he has endured.
On March 8, Dealio Lockhart, 38, pleaded guilty to causing a crash that killed three people on Feb. 27, 2016: Brian Lewandowski, 18; Michelle Littlefield, 19, both of Valencia; and 52-year-old UPS truck driver Scott Treadway, 52, of Mira Loma.
Lockhart’s car flew into the truck while racing another vehicle on Interstate 5 in Commerce.

“I called him out,” said Willy Littlefield, reflecting on the victim impact statement he shared with the court Friday when Lockhart was sentenced. THE STATEMENT BELOW
“I said, ‘You killed my baby.’”
But, when Lockhart turned around to face Littlefield, to face the court and the families whose lives he affected, he asked for forgiveness.
“I said I forgive him,” Littlefield said. “But, just because I forgive doesn’t mean the pain is not there.”
Recapping what went on inside the emotionally charged courtroom Friday, Willy Littlefield had to pause a couple of times, especially when he mentioned his daughter by name.  “Seven of us got to speak,” he said................https://signalscv.com

Dodge's latest creation, the Challenger SRT Demon, is a staple in "The Fate of the Furious," so it shouldn't come as a surprise when one of the movie's biggest actors ends up as a spokesman for the automaker. Vin Diesel is the latest spokesman to tout Dodge's performance products. He's going to be the face of Dodge's new ad campaign, "The Brotherhood of Muscle." Diesel will also lend his skills to additional television and social media spots.

In addition to the television ads, Diesel will chat about his experiences driving Dodge vehicles and introduce his enormous fan base on his social media platforms to the brand’s The Brotherhood of Muscle lifestyle. Diesel has more than 100 million fans on his Facebook page alone.

There were 4  people in that Nissan, Driver Tony, Michelle front passenger,
Alfonso behind Tony, Brian Behind Michelle.
The Nissan was pancaked by the UPS tractor trailer. the top of the Nissan was sheared off, my Daughter was pulled out of the Nissan when the top of the car was sheared off, she was wearing hear seat belt, but it was frayed and torn, and she ejected out the back of the Nissan by extreme forces in all directions, her body was scooped out of the car and slammed,  thrown to the pavement, her body laid on the I-5 over night for about 10 hours. she died in a pool of blood, only covered by a white sheet partially covering her body, her foot and shoe was sticking out.

Dealio I could not guess what is a fair sentence in a case like this - Emotionally I am off center and overwhelmed,

“My daughter is not here,” he said, his voice changing on the phone.
“We’re starting at ground zero. We are still devastated,” he said, referring to himself and his wife.
“I haven’t dealt with the pain, yet,” Littlefield said, noting this despite his attendance in group counselling, family counselling and more.

“I know I haven’t dealt with it. One day there’s going to be a big emotional crash, when I get there,” he said. “Little by little, I’m starting to comprehend.”
On Feb. 27, 2016, Dealio Lockhart raced his Dodge Challenger with another driver on Interstate 5 in Commerce, causing a chain-reaction collision that killed Littlefield’s 19-year-old daughter Michelle and Brian Lewandowski, 18, both of Valencia, and Scott Treadway, 52, a UPS truck driver from Mira Loma.
Littlefield and Lewandowski were passengers in a Nissan with two other young people who were critically injured...........“I will be attacking not only Dealio, but the Dodge, the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, Vin Diesel and his Brotherhood of Muscle, and the overall street-racing lifestyle,” he said.

A Whittier man accused of killing three people, including two Valencia residents, in a 2016 crash pleaded guilty Friday to all crimes charged in an 18-count amended complaint filed against him in exchange for a prison sentence of 22 years and four months.  DEALIO BELOW

Dealio Lockhart, 35, appeared Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court scheduled to set a date for a preliminary hearing, charged with murder in a crash that killed Brian Lewandowski, 18, and Michelle Littlefield, 19, both of the Santa Clarita Valley.Instead, he entered a plea of guilty.

Dealio Lockhart entered a guilty plea this afternoon in case BA444552 before Judge Jose Sandoval in Department 50,” Deputy District Attorney Michael Blake said.
“Lockhart admitted all crimes charged in an eighteen-count amended complaint for a negotiated term of 22 years, 4 months,” he said.
Lockhart is scheduled to sentenced on April 12.
The amended complaint against Lockhart alleged the following crimes:
  • Three counts vehicular manslaughter.
  • Four counts of engaging in a motor vehicle speed contest on a highway causing a specified injury.
  • 10 counts of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.
Reflecting on the complexity of the case that stretched over three years, Blake said: “There was nothing easy about any of this, but the result was fair.
Blake commended investigating officers with a specially-trained accident reconstruction unit of the California Highway Patrol, called the Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team.
“The CHP-MAIT Team and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department should be commended for their outstanding investigations in this case,” Blake said.

Tonight we meet a very sweet and special man , good friend of Michelle , they were classmates at COC who gave us this beautiful gift three years ago , thanks Brendon Charles Roberts . We know Michelle smiles at us from above .. ❤️🌼

The moment I walked into English class I heard her laughing and talking with other classmates.  She had a wonderful, inviting laugh that made you want to smile and laugh with her. She was always encouraging when others complained about homework or other issues they were having at the College and she always had a positive and bright outlook on every situation.  There were times when she would vent about a difficult project or something at work, but then she would just laugh and shrug it off like, “Oh well, at least I have a job and the good fortune to be in school.” She is an incredible person and I am so jealous that she gets to hangout with Jesus for a longer time then I do.  I’ll make sure to carry a Six Flags Funnel Cake up there with me when God calls me home, give her a big hug and remind her how much she is missed and loved.

Here’s to you Michelle, you may have left the world a little darker, but you’re making Heaven shine brighter than ever before.

-With Love,                    Brendon

DA Michael Blake informs me that the next "hearing" is on

March 29th 2019

2 21 2019

Hi FYI UPDATE

I talked with DA Michael Blake today, Michael informed me that there is no deal yet and that Dealio's lawyer is in trial for about 3 weeks, so we should not expect any deals until the next hearing,
The Feb 25 will be a calender reset hearing, next hearing will be set for late March or April? I had requesting that Michael either make a deal or have a preliminary hearing and go to trial. I had also Michael to confirm that He would make sure we could receive the MAIT report immediately after a deal was made with Dealio, Michael said yes.

1 09 2019

It’s been almost three years since a crash in Commerce killed three people, including two Valencia residents — and the Whittier man accused of killing them has yet to have a preliminary hearing.

Dealio Lockhart, 38, appeared Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court to set a date for a preliminary hearing. He’s charged with murder in a crash that killed Brian Lewandowski, 18, and Michelle Littlefield, 19, both of the Santa Clarita Valley. “We’re just trying to get closure,” said Littlefield’s father, Willy, Wednesday.......
“It’s been almost three years to the date of the crash,” he said. In fact, the latest scheduled date for Lockhart’s preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 25, two days before the three-year anniversary of the fatal traffic collision.
During a preliminary hearing, prosecutors will present evidence in the case, and the defense can respond; the judge can then decide if the case should go to trial. Both Lewandowski and Littlefield had been enrolled as students at College of the Canyons.
Lockhart is suspected of racing his Dodge Challenger with another driver on Interstate 5 on Feb. 27, 2016, in Commerce, causing a chain-reaction collision that killed the two Valencia residents and Scott Treadway, 52, a UPS truck driver from Mira Loma.

Littlefield and Lewandowski were passengers in a Nissan with two other young people who were critically injured.
All four occupants of the Nissan were employees of Six Flags Magic Mountain returning from a trip to Disneyland.
If convicted, Lockhart faces up to life in state prison.

Since 2009, authorities in Los Angeles County have made arrests in more than half the cases where street racing was suspected in a fatal car crash. But those rarely have led to significant jail time, according to a Times analysis of law enforcement and court records.
The Times examined 45 incidents that led to 20 prosecutions. In 15 of those, the defendants were sentenced to less than five years in jail. In one case, a driver involved in a crash that killed a teacher was sentenced to probation. Only three prosecutions saw sentences of more than 10 years.

Those findings underscore the difficulty of investigating and prosecuting incidents where street racing is involved, law enforcement authorities said. It is hard to prove the intent required for a murder charge, and many defendants have no previous criminal history.

REMEMBER THE DEAD AND THE DEADLY DRIVERS
Walker and Rodas were killed on Nov. 30, 2013, when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT Rodas was driving crashed on Hercules Drive in Valencia.
“(Rodas) was driving a red Porsche Carrera GT at an unsafe speed, approximately 100+ mph, in the No. 1 eastbound lane on Hercules Street, approaching Constitution,” according to the Coroner’s report. http://www.hometownstation.com/santa-clarita-latest-news/santa-clarita-remembers-paul-walker-roger-rodas-five-years-later-video-258059

Both occupants were declared dead at the scene by emergency personnel with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.  Officials were not confirming reports of the driver’s or passenger’s identity Saturday, instead referring inquiries to the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Officehttps://scvnews.com/2013/12/01/actor-paul-walker-and-friend-killed-in-scv-car-crash/

“Speeding is not harmless fun and it doesn’t really save that much time,” said Sgt. Scott Shoemaker. “You run the risk of losing control of your own vehicle, or not being prepared when another vehicle should unexpectedly pull out in front of them, or there is a pedestrian near a roadway. Speed (limits) are there for a reason.”
Individuals who are pulled over for driving over 100 miles per hour also face a minimum $1,000 fine and a 30-day driver’s license suspension.
“Traffic collisions can result from speeding even when a driver is not under the influence of drugs and alcohol,” Shoemaker said. “If those factors are involved, plus speeding, it’s a recipe for a potentially deadly disaster.”
Walker, 40, died in Santa Clarita in 2013, when a Porshe Carrera GT driven by his friend and business partner, Roger Rodas, crashed into trees and a utility pole. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department concluded the car was traveling between 80 and 93 mph at the time of the crash.
“I hope that our friends in the film and television industry take some of this to heart. Because that security guard that was getting beaten up by this mob of criminals was being beaten up at a tribute to Paul Walker, another criminal who died at 100 miles an hour at a Saturday afternoon in a neighborhood,” City Councilman Paul Krekorian said. “And he died, but thank God he didn’t take out a car full of innocent people, as well, in the process, somebody driving their kid home from a Little League game. And these mobs treat him like he’s some kind of hero. It’s disgusting.

Triple Murder Street Racing Suspect Returns To Court

Officer Eric Vasquez of the CHP called me this morning at 10:00 to confirm that the Preliminary Hearing is on as mentioned in the news article, (Officer Vasquez #17781 Phone  323 980 4600)
I spoke with Michael Blake last week who informed me the the Meeting would take place at 8;30 in the morning (office # 213 257 2220)

"We will start in division 30 and get sent to a different court room right then and there... Go to division 30 at 210 West Temple in Los Angeles on the fifth floor"

A man prosecutors say killed three people in a street racing crash returned to court Monday, signaling potential developments in a court case which has been in limbo while CHP investigators analyzed the crash wreckage.

Dealio Lockhart, 38, was charged with three counts of second-degree murder and four counts of reckless driving causing injury after a 2016 collision which killed Santa Clarita residents and College of the Canyons students Brian Lewandowski, 18, and Michelle Littlefield, 19, as well as UPS driver Scott Treadway, 52. All three died at the scene after a street racing collision caused the UPS truck to go airborne and crash over the center median, shearing the top off of the Nissan in which Littlefield and Lewandowski were passengers.
In addition to the three fatalities, four others were seriously injured: two men in the Nissan and a man and a woman in separate cars. The complicated nature of the crash, which called for a detailed investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s MAIT team (the Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team, which specializes in crash investigation), has resulted in delays. If convicted, Lockhart could face up to life in prison. Lockhart is scheduled to return to court  Oct. 1 for a continuation of his preliminary hearing.
8 14 2018 - What happened on 2 27 2016
The late hours of February 26, 2016, death certificates dated 12/27/2016, just minutes after midnight.

After spending a particularly fun day at Disneyland, the inseparable group of four decided to head home.  Anthony (Tony) Miramontes, Michelle Littlefield, Alfonso Morillo, and Brian Lewandowski made their way to their car and left the parking lot.  At 11:30 p.m., Michelle called her mother to let her know she was on her way home and told her it had been one of the best days of her life. Each of the young adults had busy schedules of work, college, and play.  Where better to play than at Disneyland? They all worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California and attended the College of the Canyons. Tony was driving his Nissan and Michelle was in the passenger seat.  Alfonso slumped down and fell asleep almost immediately in the back drivers side. Brian was seated in the rear passenger seat. They drove north on Interstate 5. By all indications, they did not know what hit them. At most, an instant glimpse of what was coming towards them that would end Michelle and Brian's lives immediately and horrifically.  Tony was incoherent with head injuries following the crash. Alfonso was unconscious. Both would be comatose from trauma to the head with other serious injuries. Alfonso made a miraculous recovery. Tony is still in a comatose state.

On the opposite side of the freeway, UPS driver Scott Treadway's life was taken in a brutal-fiery- catastrophic-crash.  He was returning to the Cerritos hub as his work day came close to an end. Treadway was unaware that a street race of speeds up to 130 mph began in Hollywood, continued for 11 miles and was barreling down the freeway behind him.  His first indication of trouble may have been catching a glimpse in his rear view mirror of fast movement behind him. Or maybe it was a bump or thud heard from his trailer as Lockhart, driving a 2013 Dodge Challenger made contact with the trailer's metal bumper.  Perhaps the other racer who left the scene swerved in front of Treadway's rig causing him to overreact. Maybe the first and only indication was the resultant immediate lost of control, not able to correct the wobble of his trailer causing the rig to sharply careen to the K-rails.  Any impact from a comparatively light vehicle, such as Lockhart's does not fully explain how the rig tractor-trailer lost control and would not generally send a tractor-trailer out of control. The tractor was a single axle with a full load. There were recalls on the steering-pin months prior.  It is possible that the rig was already in trouble, something else going on; a compromised steering mechanism, blown tire or other malfunction. The load may have exceeded safe weight limits, or by the weight distributed incorrectly on the trailer. It is not known if the trailer was overloaded, the weight, distribution, and length combination on the single axle tractor may have been unstable anyway, an accident waiting to happen, a “perfect storm” given the slightest irregularity in any number of existing factors.  Given that Lockhart struck the truck, it still doesn't explain how the UPS rig lost control. Was the driver's reaction/ overreaction a factor?

The tractor-trailer swerved sharply to the left at what appears to be at a 90 degree angle, crashing into the K-rails, becoming airborne, (swung, jack-knifed ) (in a swiping motion?) landing in the opposite side of the freeway, catching fire immediately, (maybe before hitting the K-rail median?) engulfing the entire rig, landing entirely upside down, partially on the K-rail. The truck spewed out, onto the road what appears to be diesel fluid.  The oily substance ran alongside of the tire skids of the rig. The top of Tony's Nissan was sheared off. It appears the largest brunt of the force from the airborne trailer, the portion that landed (swiped) Tony's Nissan appears to be on the passenger side and back portion, popping the rear driver tire.  The back seat where Brian sat was laid far back, into and atop the trunk, with the back bumper yanked off and rubber pulled out. The top of their vehicle was sheared off. Michelle was ejected and landed behind the car. (Injuries are typical of seatbelt injuries; R shoulder contusion, left hip and flank bruise)  Alfonso ultimately was spared, perhaps because he was slumped down in his seat. Tony remains in a coma with a poor prognosis.

Other vehicles crashed, one of them causing the drivers clothing to catch fire which caused him to run with his flesh dripping off “like tortillas.”  Witnesses initially thought he was the driver of the UPS truck when sighted running ablaze over the K-rails. Initially, no one knew for a certainty what happened to the UPS driver or the fate of the other involved occupants of the vehicles.  No one got close enough to see except for off-duty LAPD officer who heard the screams and banging noises coming from the massive fire. The officer ran towards the noise and discovered a man trapped inside his vehicle that had “plowed into” the UPS truck when the fiery airborne rig landed in front of him. The man struggling to escape his vehicle could not open the back window on his SUV.  In a panic from the ferocious heat and fiery contents of the UPS falling into his vehicle from his breached -caved in roof, he tried in vain to kick out the back window. The officer opened the window from the outside and Javier was able to escape an otherwise certain excruciatingly painful death.

Multiple other vehicles involved.  One erupted in flames and the occupant was severely burned and sustained other injuries.

While victims were dying or dead, flesh was burning, blood oozing onto the freeway asphalt, agony and destruction,  an odd eerie brief silence fell upon the catastrophic site. Witnesses or people coming upon the crash site began filming with their cell phones.  Lockhart made no attempt to render aid or call 911 but he was clear in the head of one purpose. Cover his tracks! He jumped on social media and he and/or a friend attempted to scrub his social media sites showing his obsession with street racing.   What was discovered from forensic analysis of his phone? He went from an carefree imbecile without a care in the world, giving no thought to the lives of the other people on the freeway he endangered, all because of his selfish need for speed. In a flash, he became a thinking high-functioning albeit sub-humanoid, but still a low-life-form,  capable of attempting to hide his dirty deeds in a highly efficient manner. After all, his life & limb was spared. He made sure of that.

In the same blink of the eye, Scott Treadway, Michelle Littlefield, and Brian Lewandowski lost their lives.  The coroners report states that Scott Treadway sustained blunt force trauma to his head and burned in his cab.  Mercifully he had expired before he burned. Michelle's cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head and neck.  Brian also sustained blunt trauma and died due to those injuries. These three awaited for the coroner, Brian and Michelle covered by colored sheets.  Scott was trapped and there was no retrieving his smoldering body from his cab until much later when the firemen were able to put out the fierce fire.

With much effort, firefighters were able to maneuver and clear the way to get to the crash.  The northbound lanes were blocked by the UPS truck and trailer, trailer content debris, and the multiple vehicles involved.  A huge traffic back-up was immediate as the freeway came to a complete stop. Some firefighters gained access to the crash site by climbing over the block wall from an adjacent street.  Others parked on the opposite side of the freeway where Lockhart's car and a portion of the UPS rig came to a sudden halt. Once firefighters arrived, the scene was overwhelming to even the most seasoned first responders.  Brian Lewandowski’s father is a homicide detective with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. It made the devastation more personal once they knew it was “one of their own.” Gorgeous aspiring young people with bright futures ahead of them lay bloodied and smashed, just minutes after their departure after spending their day at the “Happiest Place On Earth.”  The UPS driver had recently been widowed and cared for his ailing elderly mother during the day. His body was charred badly in the fire and was pinned in the wreckage.

If you don't mind me asking why did the UPS truck end up in the Middle divider? Did the Dodge Challenger crash into it? Did the UPS truck swerve off into the middle trying to avoid the Challenger? The reason I ask is because that's a big ass truck. He should of kept the big rig straight and ran into what ever was in the road. That challenger weighs 4,000 pounds, noway a 4,000 pound car can push a big rig that is at least 60,000 pounds into the air like that. That trucker should of just crashed into wherever was in front of him, I'm guessing he freaked out swerved into the middle divider and then flipped the truck because the challenger clipped him and spooked him. People need to learn to drive like their life is on the line. If I were in the truck I would just ran into wherever was in my way, and kept it clear of middle divider because that will just rip the gas tank apart and cause a big fire. That is a serious miracle your alive, god bless you and i'm sorry you went thru that. Just try to think what i'm think... 60,000 pound massive truck and 4,000 pound dodge challenger, how could the challenger make that truck fly into the middle like that? My guess is the trucker freaked out and tried to avoid something, which brings me to this... People is you see a deer in the road fucking run that shit over, it's not worth your life swerving to avoid it and then hit a tree. this may be similar in trucking language, if there is a dodge challenger in front of you truckers, blast that shit out of the way and do not swerve in 60,000 pound truck to avoid something 4,000 pounds.

was a day in which the dynamics of numerous families were changed forever.  As their loved ones travelled for pleasure and work on Interstate Highway 5, they were unaware of two vehicles negligently competing on the same stretch of highway in an illegal street race.As the two competing drivers raced southbound on Interstate Highway 5 at a high rate of speed, Suspect Vehicle #1 attempted to pass a slower moving vehicle ahead of him and lost control.  Suspect Vehicle #1 struck a United Parcel Service commercial tractor hauling a package-laden, 52’ trailer driven by Victim Richard Scott Treadway.  Victim Treadway lost control of the vehicle, crossed all southbound lanes of traffic and was forced into the northbound lanes of Interstate Highway 5........................... https://local.nixle.com/alert/5612293/?sub_id=1000000028

Police in the United States say the craze of illegal street racing has now grown out of control. An explosion in the number of illegal street races and so-called "side-shows" is partly down to the ease with which they can be organised and broadcast on social media.
In Southern California, a hotbed of street racing, tech-savvy drivers are winning the deadly game of cat-and-mouse even when confronted by a new multi-agency police task force.

7 20 2018But authorities say social media is also one of several factors that have turned the racing culture more violent in recent years, with some racers more inclined to perform dangerous stunts or turn aggressive toward police in the hopes of creating a viral racing video.

Earlier this month, seven men were charged with assaulting Los Angeles police officers who were trying to chase a suspect at a street-racing incident in South L.A., authorities said. Last December, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said an ambulance responding to an emergency call was also attacked by racers at a street “takeover,” in which racers block off an intersection or stretch of road in order to perform “burnouts” and other stunts. A group of racers also shot a firework at a police helicopter in the Los Angeles area earlier this year, CHP officials said.

Cops across California have had it with the Fast and the Furious.
Ryan Railsback with Riverside Police says street racing has gotten bigger and more dangerous.
"We're having at least 100, 200 cars plus in addition to now your spectators."
Ramone Duran with Highway Patrol says Local and State agencies are working together to stop it.
"Not only to investigate this type of activity, but also to ensure that we get some prosecution out of it as well."
Duran says people that get stuck behind these races should call 911 and give as much info as they can. Both say drivers and spectators can now be charged with crimes.
"The law does allow us that if you're a spectator of a speed contest or street racing, that we can enforce some violations on them as well."  COPS FAST AND FURIOUS

Medal of Valor - Officer Vincent Ortiz
On February 27, 2016, LAPD Van Nuys Division Officer Vincent Ortiz was off-duty and traveling on the 5 Freeway when he witnessed a fiery crash involving street racing. One vehicle had hit a UPS truck, causing the driver to lose control, strike the center median, become airborne, and land on the opposite side of the freeway, hitting a sedan and catching fire. After the UPS truck came to rest, Javier Gonzalez, Jr.’s SUV immediately hit it.
Gonzalez’s vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames. Although he was initially pinned down in the front of his car, he was able to work his way to the SUV’s cargo area. He yelled for help and continuously tried to kick out the rear windows. As he struggled to free himself, Gonzalez felt the vehicle heat up and his arms start to burn. He saw people standing 50 feet away, but no one was willing to approach the burning wreck.
Officer Ortiz had already gotten out of his car and was checking on people at the scene. He heard Gonzalez’s cries for help, made eye contact with him, and ran toward his vehicle – despite the flames and intense heat. Ortiz located the release latch for the back of the vehicle, opened it, grabbed Gonzalez by the arms, pulled him 30 feet away, and sat him on the center median.
Someone yelled that they had to get further back because the UPS truck was going to blow up. Ortiz grabbed Gonzalez by his arms a second time and pulled him another 30 feet away from the wreck, just as the cab of the UPS truck exploded again, sending debris into the air. Ortiz stayed with Gonzalez until paramedics arrived.

MAN MEETS OFF-DUTY OFFICER WHO PULLED HIM FROM BURNING 5 FWY WRECKAGE

A man got to meet the off-duty Los Angeles police officer who pulled him from a burning vehicle following a deadly chain-reaction crash on the 5 Freeway in Commerce.

Javier Gonzalez Jr. narrowly escaped death from a fiery inferno in February thanks to the quick actions of LAPD Officer Ortiz.

Investigator said two drivers street racing hit a UPS big rig, causing it to go airborne and crashing in a ball of flames.

MORE: Street race leads to deadly multi-vehicle crash in Commerce, CHP says

The truck crushed several vehicles, including Gonzalez's SUV. Two teenagers were killed along with the driver of the UPS big rig.

Gonzalez was trapped in the burning wreckage.

"I thought I was dead, I figured that's it. I figured I'd be crushed and the people who didn't make it were right next to us," Gonzalez recalled. "I was panicking, kicking the glass because I could feel the flames getting hotter. It was getting hot quick."

Ortiz was on his way home from Disneyland when he saw the scene and didn't think twice about jumping into action.

Gonzalez said Ortiz's quick decisions saved his life, because a moment after being pulled from the fiery crash, the two heard another explosion.

"He heard me kicking. When he pinpointed where the noise was coming from he just with lightning speed came running, pulled the window open, got me by my arms, pulled me out and sat me by the center divider. Soon after that we heard another massive explosion," Gonzalez described.

Ortiz doesn't like the title of "hero," because he said he was simply doing what any officer would have done in that moment.

"I just did what hopefully somebody else would do for me if I were stuck in the car," Ortiz said. "I don't usually think about it. We just do it. It's what we're paid to do."

Though Ortiz may downplay what he did, Gonzalez calls him his angel and said he will never forgot what he did for him.

"You risked your life. Everybody ran away and he ran in," Gonzalez said. "Saved my life and risked his, he's definitely a superhero."

Ortiz, who has been on the force for seven years, also helped another victim who was severely burned in the crash.

While his actions were heroic, Ortiz said he doesn't want any recognition, but his commanders have recommended him for the department's medal of valor.

My best friend
It's been a year
Change has occurred without you here
Heavy hearts are here today
Everyone misses you in every way
Longing for another moment
Love is what keeps us open
Everlasting thoughts of you will have no end
You will always be my best friend

1-16-2017 - A friend had caused me to reflect - so I wrote this -
We are in a contest of letting go and holding on, our commitment, our duty, our love and loyalty feels like it is being tested and is in conflict with time. We hand this to GOD who will hold on, let go and give and take.
We trust in GOD and learn to have faith in GOD'S LOVE and Goodness. It is not required that we understand, make sense out of it or comprehend the pain.
We have been given the toughest of test and the timing is really hard.
Our children's person, soul, beauty, life and death resides in GOD'S hands and GOD shares and takes.
I find my Daughter and Her beauty in looking more towards GOD, the Universe, and Nature.
Everyone I have talked to about this says "it does not get easier" but we must become tougher.
One day at a time in GOD'S hands and Trust and Faith -

To be honest, a question that keeps on running through my mind is "Why and how?"
I still can't understand why this happened to me and my friends. There are times when I wish I was awake during the accident, so I could fill in a really big gap inside of me. I've been wanting to know exactly how the accident happened.
How is it possible that the UPS trailer on the southbound lanes loses control from a speeding car hitting it on its side, ends up crashing on the center median, going airborne onto the northbound lanes and shearing off the top of our car??? Out of all the cars traveling on the northbound lanes... why our car? What exactly happened that night?

I went into Solo Performance class based on a recommendation I got from an acquaintance who had taken the class before. The first day, I was nervous. I had an idea for my show but didn't think it was that interesting. Not only that, but right out of the gate, I was immediately overwhelmed by all of the talented people in the class. I felt that I would never be able to make a show that would be as good as theirs. Then something unfortunate happened. My dear friend, Michelle Littlefield, passed away. This disrupted my whole life, it was the only thing that I could think about. That's when I decided to write my show about her. If it weren't for the overwhelming support of everyone involved with Solo, I don't know what I would have done. They became not just my support, but my driving force. I had never been so challenged in my life than I have this semester, but the end result was definitely worth all of the struggle. So I want to thank you guys. Because of you all, I feel as if I'm not just a better actor, but a better person as well.
And I want to give two special thank yous. First to Calliope Weisman, who has been the light in all the darkness this past semester. I don't think I'd managed to stay as sane as I am without having your support through all this. Thank you and love you.
And second to Michelle Littlefield, who I still miss to this day. I hope that I honored you well. The rose in the accompanying picture belongs to you more than it does to me. Thank you for everything.

1st: 02/27/16 The morning of the accident in the ICU.
2nd: 03/01/16 The day of the placement of my halo traction.
3rd: 04/06/16 Two weeks after I woke up from my coma, and two days before being transferred to inpatient rehab at Keck Hospital of USC.
4th: 07/12/16 Four days after my halo traction removal.
For 5 months I was experiencing life changing events that was both amazing and sad. It's still hard for me to fathom everything that has happened to me and everyone else affected by illegal street racing causing a UPS big rig to go airborne and shearing the top of our car. I thank God for the many blessings He has given me, from my rapid healing to helping me get back to normal life. From guiding ALL my surgeons, neurologists, wound care specialists, therapists, nurses, and everyone who helped with my care. And to YOU who kept me, Tony, Michelle, and Brian in your prayers. Thank you. This post is dedicated to ALL OF YOU.

Thank you to all my doctors and nurses that gave me the utmost importance to my care from all of my traumatic injuries.
This whole experience will always be remembered as a really terrible one, but one that made me stronger and gave me the highest hope and love. Love that I felt through my family, friends, and of course God and my guardian angels that were by my side at all times. 5 - 12 - 2016
I'm so glad I remember all the great times I was able to spend with Michelle, Brian, and Anthony. From being co-leads all together from Green Lantern/Complex 1 to hanging outside of work. Our group text messages were a great way of keeping in contact with each other when the area switch happened and we all moved to different ride locations. I'm just so happy that we stayed in touch with each other and made sure to make plans along the way. I can honestly say I have so many memories to talk about from just being around you guys, and I'm glad that we made it worth it. From random trips to the beach or eating out after work; even going out of work during our lunch break.
Our last day all together at Disney Resort on February 26, 2016, I'm so glad we all spent time together; especially at a place we all really loved to go to hang out at. It was such a wonderful day; the sun was out and we got there on a perfect day, even though it was around noon when we arrived. The first thing we did was get Fast Passes to Hyperspace Mountain, because Michelle and Anthony haven't tried it yet; we were able to get the passes, and after that we decided to spend our day over at Disney's California Adventure, a place that we haven't really hung out at together, so we went over there. It was so much fun that we got to spend time at DCA, we did all the big rides and attractions. It was getting darker and we were deciding to go home, but Michelle had an awesome idea to watch the fireworks since we always skip it, and so we did. We made our way back inside Disneyland and luckily Michelle found a perfect spot by the castle and towards the middle, and we just looked up and enjoyed the fireworks. It was really magical and I will never forget that moment. After the fireworks we decided to hang out so more at Disneyland, and at around 11:30 we got in the car and I knocked out once we got on the freeway. After knocking out, the most horrible thing happened to all of us. The accident that changed our lives forever.
I know Michelle and Brian are watching and listening down from Heaven; watching over your families, and helping me and Tony heal and recover. I reminisce about all the times we spent together and it makes me miss you guys even more. I have to be strong for you guys, because you guys were always strong. Thank you for being great friends; thank you for the memories; thank you for helping me to continue to heal; and all these amazing memories will be forever in my heart and mind. I will never forget.
May 1, 2016 at 5:35pmLos Angeles
I'm going to talk about all the traumatic injuries I sustained from the accident.
- Closed traumatic brain injury, which caused my brain to hemorrhage and fillwith so much fluid
- Fractured: vertebrae by my neck; upper left arm; and 4 ribs
- Ruptured spleen which they had to remove
- Jumbled up intestines and stomach which they had to rearrange and recycle the flow
- My nose broke
- Seizure like activities
- And MORE technically traumatic injuries
I was in a medically induced coma for three weeks; but I would respond to the doctors/nurses commands and would play with my mom's ring when she would hold my hand. I finally opened my eyes on the fourth week, but would just blankly stare around the room. Then, on St. Patrick's Day, I said my first words to my mom, "I'm hungry, I want pizza! I have work, let's go home."
I thank God for the blessing and miracle he's given to me. I would love to personally thank everyone that's kept me in their prayers and for the support you've given to me. Thank you everyone, who also took the time to come visit me at the hospital. Even though I was still in my coma, just know I was there listening to all of you. It really shows a lot, and it still touches me that you guys came to visit.
Please let's now pray for Tony and his family, so that he can wake up from his coma and he can recover and heal; most importantly let's also pray for the Littlefield and Lewandowksi family. <3
4 -26 - 16  i always get asked this question, "Do you remember the accident?", but the crazy thing was that I was asleep the whole time while we were on our way home.
I remember falling asleep as soon as we got on the freeway and then waking up weeks later in the hospital. I was freaking out, and super confused. I saw my parents and kept asking them what happened to me; why am I in the hospital? They were blunt with their answers and said to me that I was in a really big car accident... I asked them what? How?? They said to me, when you're ready we'll tell you, but right now just heal, and don't worry so much about everything. I was getting frustrated and angry that no one would tell me anything and when I would ask, I would get the same answers. My parents did tell me I was coming home from Disneyland, and it all came back to me. I was with Tony, Michelle, and Brian. And so when I would ask them how they were doing, they would all look at each other and say we'll tell you everything when you're much better.
At this time I would ask them about my injuries and why am I wearing a halo brace. Then all the doctors came in and told me all about my injuries and it all made sense to why it took them a long time to why they didn't want to break the news. When the nurses would say you're still on the news or you're story was huge headlines on the news. I would ask my parents and they would tell me the same thing, I was really getting frustrated, and tried to understand why.
It wasn't until weeks later I was on my laptop in the ICU. I signed on to my Facebook account. Super nervous and anxious to see what's up. And I was tagged in so many posts and looking at the first one that's when I saw the accident and the details of what happened. That's when I started crying and I asked my parents if it was true. And they said yes. I couldn't help it but break down and keep on crying. It was hard, but I knew I had to be strong and accept what had happened.
It all made sense to why my parents couldn't tell me right away, because I was diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury that really messed up and added a ton of fluid to my brain and it was hemorrhaging as well. So they were told by the neuro doctors to not stress me out or give me a hard time. Also since the doctors didn't know I was asleep during the accident, they diagnosed me with Depression, like PTSD, since they thought I witnessed the accident and couldn't ask me questions because I was in a coma for weeks.
15 hrsInstagramSo when my Dad got my watch back from the hospital and he gave it back to me; I couldn't help but notice that it wasn't working. That's when I realized that it stopped at the exact time of the accident that night. I couldn't believe it.

Update 4-6-2016The crash killed UPS driver, Scott Treadway, 52, of Mira Loma, who had been driving trucks for the delivery service for 30 years; and two Valencia residents in the Nissan, Michelle Littlefield, 19, and Brian Lewandowski, 18
Lewandowski and Littlefield -- who were both students at College of the Canyons and worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia -- were returning from a trip to Disneyland when the crash occurred. Lewandowski was the son of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide Detective Victor Lewandowski.
The other two people in the Nissan were critically injured and remain hospitalized, the prosecutor told the judge. Two other people -- a man and a woman -- were also injured in the pileup.
The two young men who survived the fiery crash that claimed the lives of two Valencia college students and another man last month were showing signs of improving Monday, said a woman whose daughter died in the same crash.

Michelle Littlefield, 19, and Brian Lewandowski, 18, both of Valencia, died as a result of injuries suffered in a crash on Interstate 5 early Saturday morning. The fatal traffic collision occurred southbound on Interstate 5 north of Triggs Street in the city of Commerce, according to the CHP.

“Tragically, three lives were lost,” Sheriff’s Department Deputy Sara Rodriguez wrote in a news release issued Sunday. “One of those lives was that of 18-year-old Brian Lewandowski.”

A UPS truck driver from Mira Loma was also killed in the crash, his brother told a television news station. But Los Angeles County Coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said Sunday the man’s body had not been officially identified, citing fire-related injuries that are making identification difficult.

Gigi Littlefield, the deceased woman's mother, was struggling with the tragic news, she told The Signal Sunday.

“This should never have happened,” she said.

Michelle Littlefield and three of her co-workers, including Lewandowski, were on their way home from a day at Disneyland when the crash occurred. The two surviving co-workers, both young men, were taken to the hospital.

“We knew immediately something happened when she didn’t come home,” Gigi Littlefield said. “We tried to find out.”

Littlefield said her daughter, her only child, was a straight-A student from West Ranch High School and never missed a day of work at Six Flags in the two years she worked there.

“She never drank. She was a good girl, a responsible girl,” she said, noting her daughter was enrolled in business classes at College of the Canyons and had applied to attend California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo to study business there.

“She went to Cal Poly just two weeks ago,” Littlefield said. “She had so many dreams, so many plans.”
Michelle Littlefield and Brian Lewandowski were both enrolled at College of the Canyons for the spring 2016 semester, college spokesman Eric Harnish said Sunday. Her major was accounting; his was computer science, Harnish said.

Brian Lewandowski is survived by his parents, Jocelyn and Victor Lewandowski, and two brothers. Brian’s father is a homicide lieutenant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a man who worked with both victims at Six Flags, both also worked at the Santa Clarita Valley amusement park.
An official statement issued Sunday by Six Flags officials reads:

“The Six Flags Magic Mountain family was saddened to learn about two of their team members who were tragically killed in the I-5 freeway incident in Commerce, Calif., on Feb. 27. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.”

The Lewandowski family issued the following statement regarding the loss of their beloved son Brian Lewandowski:

“Brian was an incredible young man and every parent’s dream for a son. We are absolutely devastated by our loss.  Our hearts go out to the other victims and their families and our prayers are for the survivors’ recovery. We are very thankful for the love and support of family and friends throughout this time.”

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal traffic collision was ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the collision was encouraged to contact Officers Fonseca or Flores at the California Highway Patrol East Los Angeles Office at 323-980-4600.

CHP investigators say the crash was caused by two peole racing on the I-5. A driver identified as Dealio Lockhart, 35, of Whittier was driving a Dodge Challenger southbound on the freeway north of Triggs Street in the No. 2 lane while racing a Dodge Charger traveling in the No. 1 lane of the southbound I-5, according to a report issued by CHP Officer D. Peniche.

Lockhart observed a slower-moving vehicle ahead and attempted to go around the vehicle at the same time the drivere of the slower-moving vehicle was attempting to move to the right, Peniche said. Lockhart reportedly applied his brakes, lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the left side of a UPS tractor trailer traveling in the No. 4 lane.

The impact caused the tractor trailer driver to lose control and the truck collided into the center median and then became airborne, hitting a gray Nissan and shearing the top off it, the CHP officer said in the report.

The tractor trailer continued out of control and came to rest on top of a red Ford Explorer that had been traveling northbound on the I-5 north of Washington Boulevard.

The tractor trailer immediately became engulfed in flames, Peniche said in the CHP report.

Debris from the collision struck a fifth and sixth vehicle that had been traveling on the northbound side of the freeway.

Littlefield and Lewandowski had been in the Nissan and were declared dead at the scene. Also killed was the driver of the truck. The two other occupants of the Nissan were transported to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center with major injuries, Peniche said.
Lockhart was arrested shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday and booked by the CHP in East Los Angeles, according to information maintained by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Inmate Information Center.
Although the arrest documents do not name the specific criminal charge, they show Lockhart was
arrested on suspicion of committing a felony criminal offense.

He remains in custody at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday with bail set at $1 million.

Every parent’s nightmare began for Willy Littlefield eight minutes after midnight Feb. 28. And it remains documented for him in a simple text to his daughter, Michelle, that read:
“Michelle you didn’t return any of my calls, your mom and I are very concerned about you.”
Michelle Littlefield, 19, and Brian Lewandowski, 18, both of Valencia, died as a result of injuries suffered in a crash just one minute after midnight Feb. 28 on Interstate 5 in Commerce.
At 1:55 a.m., the Valencia dad sent a follow-up text message.
“Hi Dinky, r u OK?”
There was no reply, he said, hanging his head for a moment.
“That’s what I called her: Dinky.”
All he knew at that point was that his daughter and three friends were on their way back from Disneyland late on the night of Feb. 27.
It would be near sunup when Littlefield learned he’d lost his only child in a fiery multi-vehicle crash near the City of Commerce blamed on freeway racing.
In the days preceding the memorial service held Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on McBean Parkway, Willy Littlefield sat down with The Signal to recount the numbing effects of learning of his daughter’s death.
He said he finds talking about the tragedy therapeutic. He described his wife as “in a fog.”
“I’m in a void,” he said, his voice halting. “It’s like I’m not actually here.”
Not knowing
Recalling that long night of not knowing at the family’s home in Valencia, Littlefield scrolls through the text messages he sent between periods of dozing off.

“See? 2:49 p.m. I just said ‘Dinky? Please check in.’”
Again, no reply. He desperately scrutinized his cell phone that normally displays a flashing light denoting message received. There was no flashing light on the phone.
That’s when the panic set in, he said.
“I ran to her room and she wasn’t there,” he said, stopping again to wait until his voice returned.
He began rationalizing why she wasn’t home, he said.
“She was an insomniac like me, so I thought she was with her palsy-walsies talking.
“I thought maybe Gig had taken her to work,” he said. “I didn’t see her shoes.”
Both parents were now awake; Littlefield said his wife “woke up with fear in her eyes.”
Impatient, to confirm his worst suspicions, Littlefield got in his car and traveled south along the route she and her friends would have taken to get home.
Freeway closed
When he was re-routed off the freeway he had not yet made the connection, he said. The fiery collision had killed three people and shut down the entire freeway.
He found a California Highway Patrol officer, he said, and he asked him point blank: “Is my daughter dead?”
The officer said he did not know.
“All the freeways were closed, the I-5 was closed, but I had no idea it was for my daughter,” he said.
When he arrived at the crash scene, he ran to the CHP investigating officer.
“I told him, ‘I need to know if it’s her.’ He knew. I asked, ‘Did she burn? Was she decapitated?’”
Littlefield said he had to know the truth. He also asked for a Spanish interpreter to inform his wife because he was he was immobilized by the thought of telling her.
That’s when the Littlefields’ nightmare played out.
“They said, ‘She died instantly,” Littlefield said.
He went to the morgue with his sister, determined to see his daughter’s body.
Officials with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department, however, showed him only his daughter’s driver license and asked him to confirm it was hers.
It was.
On the phone with his wife he told her: “She went to heaven with Uncle Dave.”
Memorial service
Hundreds turned out Tuesday for Michelle Littlefield’s funeral and memorial service at noon, followed by a graveside service and burial at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary in Newhall.
“There is such an overwhelming outpouring of love -- from the police to the news people, from everyone,” Littlefield said during The Signal interview. “I’ve been overwhelmed with everyone’s love.”
“My daughter,” he said, turning his head, tapping his right shoulder, “Is right here. She and Brian are on my right side. They passed from this world,” he said, referring to Lewandowski.
“On my other shoulder are Tony and Alfonso, injured in the crash and who also worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain.”
Anthony Miramontes, 21, of San Fernando, and Alfonso Morillo, 20, of Port Hueneme, survived a crash early Saturday that killed their friends and coworkers. All four had been returning from Disneyland. Miramontes and Morillo were critically injured. All four worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

“The Teamsters Local 396 Executive Board, Staff and Membership send our heartfelt condolences to the Family of our dear, departed Brother Scott Treadway, who we lost suddenly, in a tragic feeder accident last night. Scott was admired and loved by his friends and co-workers at UPS. We are still trying to come to grips with this horrible loss,” the organization posted. “We love and miss you Brother!”
Fellow teamsters held their meeting Sunday, “under such difficult circumstances,” in honor of Treadway, who worked out of a Cerritos UPS facility, according to the union chapter.
The UPS big rig driver and both occupants of the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene. Five others were hurt, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

All three victims killed in the fiery crash on the 5 freeway early Saturday morning have been identified—two of them teens coming home from Disneyland and the third a truck driver for UPS.

  1. I have been following this story as it really disturbed and angered me. I have children, a teenager, and pre teen and to imagine that an adult who should know better went and raced on a freeway that killed 3 people and injured others blows my mind. I pray for the families and victims of this tragic event and only hope for true justice to be served. My heart goes out to everyone this has effected. Every time I read about the recovery of the victims or the deaths of the 3 individuals, I have to hold back tears. Keep strong....

  3. I never comment on stories much less comment on a blog I found while searching for an update but this event has stayed on my mind since I first saw the article last year. Always wondered what happened and I'm reading so many infuriating things about this murderer and I am hoping for any justice for all the victims involved. I don't know why out of the numerous accidents that this stays on my mind but it does. I see all the reckless behavior on our roads and I want to see the people responsible deal with harsh consequences in hopes it will make everyone think twice and check their egos when it comes to wheels and high speed. Though I can't even begin to share in your sorrow I wanted you to know that there are people that are wanting swift justice as much as you and this accident was not forgotten among others.
